Course Overview

Artificial intelligence is already present in most organisations, often without oversight. This two-day course equips business owners, managers, and compliance professionals to adopt AI with confidence: realise its commercial value, establish sound governance, and respond credibly to every client, tender, and regulatory enquiry.

Course Objective

• Explain AI fundamentals and identify adoption opportunities across your business functions
• Apply AI risk and governance models to your own operating context
• Evaluate the ethical considerations AI deployment raises, and identify ethical conflicts
• Navigate Singapore and international compliance requirements with confidence
• Implement an AI governance framework, safeguards and breach-prevention plans in your organisation

Course Outline

Day 1

  •  AI, machine learning, and generative AI explained in management terms
  • The six categories of AI systems and their presence in everyday business tools
  • Applying the IMDA Model AI Governance Framework and ISO/IEC 42001
  • Constructing a risk matrix and monitoring AI systems for adherence
  • Ethical considerations in practices: bias, hallucination and deepfake case studies

Day 2

  • Singapore’s regulatory landscape: AI Verify, PDPA, PDPC AI Guidelines and MAS FEAT
  • International requirements: ISO/IEC 42001 certification and the EU AI Act timeline
  • Conducting and AI inventory of your own organisation
  • Safeguards, approval gates and breach-prevention planning
  • Developing a 90-day implementation plan for immediate application
Fees and Funding

This course is applicable for SkillsFuture Funding up to 70%.

*From 1 Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding will be revised to a baseline of 50% subsidy, with an additional 20% subsidy (up to 70% subsidy) for SMEs and Mid-career individuals (Singapore citizens above 40 years old) . Do note that the funding amount advised is not final and is subject to changes.
