WEF 1 Jan 2024, CSOC assessment will be fully online-based even though the class will still be face-to-face on-site at our training centres. Tablets will be provided at our premises. Hard copy assessment shall no longer be administered, recognised nor accepted. Proctoring via photo capturing of trainee(s) from the device's camera will be required for authentication during the assessment period. By booking of this course, it shall be deemed that acknowledgement and consent have been given by the trainee.

Before attending, you are strongly encouraged to complete a short microlearning course to help you prepare. This course covers essential topics that will be helpful.

Course Objective

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • identify own roles and responsibilities as an employee in a construction job
  • follow safe work procedures in a construction job
  • follow safe “Work-at-Height” procedures
  • respond to fire emergencies
Assumed Skills & Knowledge / Pre-requisites

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

  • have employment status as manual labour to carry out construction work in building and engineering construction worksites
  • be medically fit
  • be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
  • be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) level 2 
  • have good organisational skills
  • be able to follow written and oral work instructions
