Our Food Safety and Hygiene Course Level 1 at People's Park is designed to provide learners with essential knowledge and practical skills necessary to adhere to food safety standards. Throughout the course, participants will learn to practise good personal hygiene, use safe ingredients, handle and store food safely, and maintain the cleanliness of utensils, equipment, and service/storage areas.
The course consists of 6 hours of training and 1.5 hours of assessment. Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, a Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded to the participants. This will accord the participants to work in food and beverage preparation / pre-requisite to operate a food shop/stall.
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA), in collaboration with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), has revamped the Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures course (also known as Basic Food Hygiene Course), now known as Food Safety Course Level 1. The Food Safety and Hygiene Course Level 1, effective from 30 November 2020, equips participants to work in food and beverage preparation roles, serving as a prerequisite for operating a food shop/stall. Candidates are required to adhere to the proper dress code during the course, including wearing covered shoes, tying up long hair, and refraining from wearing nail polish. Your cooperation in maintaining these standards is appreciated.

This course is applicable for SkillsFuture Funding up to 70%.
*From 1 Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding will be revised to a baseline of 50% subsidy, with an additional 20% subsidy (up to 70% subsidy) for SMEs and Mid-career individuals (Singapore citizens above 40 years old) .
