Classroom Facilitated Training and Practical Training (Work-Based/Workplace Learning)

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

• identify the 9 classes of dangerous goods (DG) and the basic hazards associate with each classification
• know the role and responsibilities as a DG Driver
• understand the emergency procedures
• take appropriate actions during an incident
• fight fires during initial state using fire extinguishers

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

• have a basic knowledge of fire safety & handling of hazmat materials
• be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ESS) level 2
• possess a valid driving license
• be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and
• be medically fit

Based on the successful completion of the course and assessment ,a Statement of Test Result will be awarded to the trainee.
