The “Perform Formwork Activities” is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers performing formwork activities works in construction sites and related industries.

Course Objective

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • state the applicable legal and other requirements for formwork and working at-height
  • list the roles of a worker in formwork installation, alteration and dismantling
  • state the types of formwork used in the industry
  • apply basic risk assessment for formwork activities
  • identify hazards associated with formwork activities
  • observe safety and health measures for formwork activities formwork activities
  • use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for formwork activities and Working-At-Height
Assumed Skills & Knowledge / Pre-requisites

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

  • have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
  • be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
  • be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
  • be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and
  • be medically fit

Fees and Funding

This course is applicable for SkillsFuture Funding up to 70%.

*From 1 Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding will be revised to a baseline of 50% subsidy, with an additional 20% subsidy (up to 70% subsidy) for SMEs and Mid-career individuals (Singapore citizens above 40 years old) . Do note that the funding amount advised is not final and is subject to changes.

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
