The Perform Rigger and Signalman Tasks Course is aimed at providing you with the knowledge and skills to prepare and to tie the load for safe lifting by any form of lifting equipment using correct and clear signals to guide the crane operator in the manoeuvring of a load safely to its destination.

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:
- observe and apply safety practices
- identify hazards related to lifting operations
- select and use appropriate slinging method and rigging equipment
- apply rigging techniques to the load
- direct the load to its destination with safe lifting techniques
- report any damage and defects on communication equipment, crane, lifting gear and accessories.
Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:
- have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
- be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
- be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
- be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and
- be medically fit
- Prepare to perform rigger and signalman tasks
- Perform rigger and signalman tasks
- Reinstate rigger and signalman work area
This course is applicable for SkillsFuture Funding up to 70%.
*From 1 Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding will be revised to a baseline of 50% subsidy, with an additional 20% subsidy (up to 70% subsidy) for SMEs and Mid-career individuals (Singapore citizens above 40 years old). Do note that the funding amount advised is not final and is subject to changes.
