This course is a mandatory training course for all workers performing WAH in construction and other industry sectors.

The aim of the course is to provide Learners with the requisite WAH knowledge to manage work-at-height activities, so that work can be carried out safely.

Course Objective

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • identify, explain, and apply the relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legislation/Approved Code of Practice/Singapore Standards applicable to work at height
  • identify and explain the Roles & Responsibilities of stakeholders, competent and responsible persons
  • identify hazards, evaluate the risk, and implement control measures for work at height
  • review the necessary fall preventive / protective control measures for safe execution of work at height
  • establish, evaluate, review and implement a Fall Prevention Plan
  • establish and implement a system for an effective monitoring and control of WAH risks
  • don, check and correct Individual Fall Protection Equipment and respond to a fall emergency
Assumed Skills & Knowledge / Pre-requisites

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

  • employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 3 and above
  • be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level level 3 and above
Course Outline

The aim of the course is to provide course learners with the requisite WAH knowledge so that they can perform their WAH activities properly and safely.

The learner who passes this course is deemed competent in Work at Heights only and this course does not replace other industry / trade specific safety training requirements.

Fees and Funding

This course is applicable for SkillsFuture Funding up to 70%.

*From 1 Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding will be revised to a baseline of 50% subsidy, with an additional 20% subsidy (up to 70% subsidy) for SMEs and Mid-career individuals (Singapore citizens above 40 years old) . Do note that the funding amount advised is not final and is subject to changes.

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
