Course Objective

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • identify, assess and critically examine assumptions and implicit biases underlying individual actions and the impact of those actions on self, clients and professional activities using various methods and techniques
  • demonstrate ability to handle complexities and sensitives of client issues in professional practice
  • apply methods for introspection and intersubjective reflections to assess objective and subjective approaches when making sense of clients’ experiences and situations
  • practice adequate self-assessment and monitoring using different theories and methods for reflexive analysis)
  • reflect on personal and professional effectiveness in professional practice and in engagements with other social service professionals
  • apply methods to identify areas of improvement in professional development and practice
  • identify professional development requirements of professional bodies governing one’s professional practice and identify training opportunities and resources for professional development to meet these requirements

  • At least 21 years old
  • Minimum Secondary GCE “N” level with 3 passes
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience
  • Minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4

Fees and Funding

This course is applicable for SkillsFuture Funding up to 70%.

*From 1 Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding will be revised to a baseline of 50% subsidy, with an additional 20% subsidy (up to 70% subsidy) for SMEs and Mid-career individuals (Singapore citizens above 40 years old) . Do note that the funding amount advised is not final and is subject to changes.
