The WSQ–Operate Lorry Crane Course (Inexperience) is suitable for potential lorry crane operators who wish to enter or advance within the lifting industry. Spanning two days, the programme includes one day of theory-based classroom learning and one day of hands-on practical training, followed by an assessment at the end of the second day. The course is conducted in both English and Mandarin, ensuring accessibility for a wider group of learners. No prior experience or knowledge is required to enrol, just a willingness to learn and a commitment to workplace safety.

At WFA, safety comes first. Participants in the Operate Lorry Crane Course will learn about safe lifting operations, risk management, and proper use of lorry cranes in real-world conditions. By mastering these competencies, learners can not only meet industry requirements but also help create a safer working culture within their organisations. Upon successful completion, participants will be equipped with both theoretical and practical skills that can make them effective and reliable operators on the job.

This course aligns with the standards set by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and contributes to the national effort to enhance workforce capabilities in logistics and lifting operations. Candidates who are assessed as competent will receive a photo pass and a Statement of Attainment from SSG, acknowledging their achievement and readiness to work in the industry.

Assumed Skills & Knowledge

Participants must:

Must be above 18 years old.
Medically fit.
Have achieved Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3 or higher under the Employability Skills System, or an equivalent qualification.
Able to comprehend manufacturers’ guidelines, operational procedures, and safety notices.
Display strong awareness of surroundings and a proactive attitude towards safety.

Certification

After the trainee has met all course requirements and passed the assessment, they will be issued a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and a Safety Pass from Wong Fong Academy Pte Ltd.
